Employee Handbook Development

A condensed version of the client's policies and procedures manual is developed or updated to provide all employees with a user-friendly guide which explains important human resources policies.

Employee Communications

Assistance is provided to the client in the development of newsletters and other employee communications.

Unemployment Compensation Claim Administration

The factors involved in a former employee's request for unemployment compensation are evaluated, detailed responses are prepared, and support is provided to the client in unemployment compensation hearings/arbitration.

Workers' Compensation Claim Investigation

Claims brought by injured workers are investigated both on- and off-site to determine their legitimacy. Expert witness assistance is provided when appropriate.

Employee Relations Counseling

Non-legal advice regarding employee behavioral or performance issues is provided to management for assistance in handling sensitive employee relations matters.

Management Succession Planning

A program is developed to assist the client in recognizing and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of current managerial staff and to determine future staffing requirements of key management positions.

Termination Assistance / Outplacement Counseling

Assistance is provided in handling sensitive employee terminations in order to minimize wrongful discharge claims. Exempt and nonexempt severance benefit programs are designed or reviewed, and outplacement counseling is provided on an individual or group basis.
